Happy Monday! I stumbled across this kitchen by Traci Zeller over the weekend and couldn’t wait to share it with you all! Even though I am a pretty die hard all white kitchen person, the island is the perfect shade of blue and adds an unexpected and cheerful pop of color. I also (obviously) have to point out the blue cheetah print wallpaper in the adjoining room…oh, hey girl! It’s just all so good and the rest of her portfolio is equally as beautiful. I highly recommend going to her website and seeing more of her work. You will be glad you did!
I usually don’t get personal on the blog, but this week is a big week in our house. Today our son turns two and then tomorrow he starts school- I can’t believe it! It is the sweetest program and he will only go a few hours two mornings a week, but it is definitely bittersweet for me. I know that he is more then ready (Mr. Social Butterfly), but I have been a stay at home mom for over four years now and the thought of having an empty house suddenly feels like half of me is missing. Needless to say, drop off at school is going to be a tough one for me tomorrow! I’m so proud of our little guy (and of course his big sister).
Today I am sharing the September edition of Blue And White On A Budget and as a nod to Fall, I have incorporated a few woven and natural fiber elements. I find that adding these to any blue and white space helps guide the eye through the room and adds the texture and depth necessary to help prevent any room from feeling too unapproachable and cold. Also, if someone doesn’t buy that mirror and add some gorgeous lacquer, I just might!
