Fall is in the air which means I have officially begun funnel neck season. Simply put, I love funnel neck tops. I buy funnel neck sweaters to dress up and dress down, I buy funnel neck sweatshirts to wear for errands and lounging around the house and I buy a hybrid of both because I am an addict. Mock turtlenecks can sometimes fall into this category (I shared one I like below), but I find they are hit or miss. Especially if they are mock turtlenecks with lace or frills around the collar, they just read a little too Victorian for me.

When I was unpacking my fall clothes last week, my husband started laughing saying here come your “bomb squad” shirts. I had no clue what he was talking about until he pulled up a photo of Jeremy Renner from the movie The Hurt Locker. He might not be entirely wrong (see below)…
Even if he’s right, who cares- I still love them and I knew a blog post was in order! They are oh so cozy and I am always cold, so the warmer the clothing the better. Plus, I find funnel neck tops to be slimming and they have a classic look that never goes out of style. The older I get, the higher the waist on my jeans and the higher the neck on my sweaters, the better. So, I may look like a member of a bomb squad but in my book those men and women are pretty bad ass. I’ll take it as a compliment.
Have a great weekend!
XO,
Sophie
P.S. I may or may not have nearly every top featured in this post so if you have sizing questions, let me know.
