Happy Sunday! We had a lazy weekend and I decided to soak it up and take a (semi) break from social media yesterday. Last night we went to an event called Garden Glow at Ladew Topiary Gardens, where they lit the gardens with Halloween lights and had live music and local food vendors- it was so cute! The kids had a blast running (and rolling down hills) and checking out the spooky decor while the adults got to walk through the gardens with hot cider and wine.
In other news, a few of you have been asking for an update on our house hunt. We recently found a house we loved and put in an offer about a week ago, but we were outbid. I won’t lie, I was pretty blue we lost it because I had let myself get attached. Does anyone else get attached to houses? I definitely do and it goes a little like this: when I find a house I love, I begin mentally decorating it and imagining our family living in it- playdates, birthday parties, holidays you name it (basically I’m a crazy person and my husband is a saint). So when I found out someone else got the home and knew that they were going to have all of the experiences there that I had imagined for my own family, it was pretty crushing. I know I could have much bigger problems though and if life has taught me anything it is that the things that are meant for you will not pass you by. It may sound cliche, but I am a firm believer it is true.
I hope you have a great rest of the weekend and will join me tomorrow for the October edition of Blue and White on a Budget. I may throw in a dash of green too!
*For those of you like me who are lamenting the new direction House Beautiful seems to be taking, you will LOVE this Instagram account. Thank you Erin Gates for the recommendation!
*Hannah Anderson is having 40% off this weekend, which NEVER happens. If you had you eye on any of the kids items from last week’s Fashion Friday post now is the time to buy them for a steal and they ae selling out fast!
