Am I the only one who waits until last minute to get stocking stuffers? I am trying to be more proactive this year and thought if I created a guide it would help me get a head start! When it comes to stocking stuffers I like mixing inexpensive items in with one or two nice surprise gifts.
We have continued the best tradition handed down by my in-laws where the kids leave their stockings over the fireplace and Santa leaves them at the foot of their beds to find in the morning. Our children always open their stockings right away and then run into each others rooms to see what everyone got. They don’t wake us up until after they have examined their stockings thoroughly and I think they have fun feeling like they are in on a secret together that we don’t know about. The best part is that mom and dad get at least an extra ten to fifteen minutes of sleep and hearing the pitter patter of their feet running down the halls giggling and shrieking with excitement is something I look forward to every year.
