Let’s face it, it’s tempting to do all of our holiday shopping online these days, but if you ask me it’s just never as fun or productive as going to a store and have the experience of real, actual holiday shopping. There is something about the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping that gets me in the holiday spirit and a favorite shopping destination of mine every year is The Mall in Columbia. They are home to three of my favorite retail home decor stores- Z Gallerie, Williams Sonoma, and Arhaus and even though the mall is a little over half an hour away from my home it is well WORTH the drive!
Needless to say, when The Mall of Columbia and Z Gallerie reached out to me asking to partner with them to decorate my home for the holidays I jumped at the opportunity and the moment I walked into Z Gallerie, I was like a kid in a candy store. Thank goodness everyone who worked there was not only kind but incredibly patient because I think it took me over an hour to pick everything out!
I decided to start with styling my bar cart because aside from our Christmas tree it’s my favorite thing to decorate for the holidays. Who’s with me? For the top of the cart I picked out these stemless champagne flutes, an adorable toasting decanter set, and a gold brushstroke bowl that can hold everything from lemons and limes to ornaments and holiday treats. These gold reindeer were screaming my name and for a touch of pizzaz I added this decorative starburst. I like how it reminds me of a champagne bubble! The best part is that after the holidays, I can use all of these pieces as year round home decor.
One of my favorite decorative items Z Gallerie sells is this giant clam shell which I used on the second shelf of the bar cart to store extra drinks and keep them cold while also looking stylish.
For my holiday table setting, I got these sunburst salad plates and paired them with dinner plates that I already owned. When I am shopping for home decor I am always try to keep in mind what I already have and what I should get to build upon the collection I own. I went for a slightly more causal feel this year skipping chargers and instead accenting the plates with these napkins and napkin rings. For a pop of red and green to offset the gold I added mini boxwood wreaths and candy canes. Finally, I had to add one more reindeer (because I apparently have a thing for reindeer?) and finished it off with a pair of these candlesticks.
My husband is not a big champagne drinker but has a huge bourbon collection so I decided to use this scalloped tray to make a little bar area just for him. After all, I shouldn’t be the only one who gets to have a fancy bar over the holidays! These festive old fashioned glasses are great for any occasion and spruce up any tabletop.
Finally, I couldn’t forget the kids! Z Gallerie has so many cute gifts and stocking stuffers to choose from, I was blown away! I picked up this sweet brushstroke painting, a unicorn snow globe, and this snuggly bunny for my daughter’s bookshelf. Is it just me or is there still something magical snow globes even as an adult?
Last but not least, I scored this darling french bulldog bank for my son. To give him some added holiday cheer, I tied a simple red ribbon to his neck because how could I not? He is just too cute!
I had so much fun picking everything out and could have left with half of the store if they let me! Here’s a round up of all of my picks and links are below. Happy decorating!
