In my opinion, kitchens are one of the most intimate and personal spaces of any home. They are where we gather, where we eat, where we share our highs and lows and catch up with good friends. It’s where we store our favorite pretty pieces for entertaining and cook meals for our families. Therefore, it’s only natural that everyone’s taste in kitchen styles is different, but for me there is something classic and timeless about all-white kitchen.
If not designed correctly it is true that white kitchens can feel cold or one dimensional, but this is why keen attention to layering is so important. Keep in mind the molding, cabinetry and hardware details, countertop patterns, and the color of the floor. Incorporating textured stools, pops of blue and white porcelain and fresh blooms or fruit are great ways to transform a potentially flat space into a chic gathering place. If we’re talking my dream white kitchen, I’d also throw in matchbook marble countertops and backsplash along with a hidden butlers pantry, but then I’d never leave my house! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite white kitchens along with a kitchen essentials I have in my own kitchen and couldn’t live without. Happy Wednesday!
