Traditional Chic in Tribeca by Ariel Okin

When I first saw the feature of this Tribeca loft designed by Ariel Okin in Elle Decor my jaw dropped to the floor. Her interiors are sophisticated and fresh with clean, tailored lines and filled with tranquil greens and blues. What more can you ask for? Okin’s impeccable eye and attention to detail shine through in this beautifully decorated NYC home and the editing is phenomenal. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the tour, but I already know you are going to love it! Happy Wednesday!

Lacquered walls immediately make a stately impact the moment you walk through the door

Soft browns and buttery caramels create a neutral, tone-on-tone palette so as not to detract from the incredible city views

Grasscloth walls and check accent chairs add additional warmth to the space

The lacquer in the hall ties together beautifully with the blue lacquered bar that lends the perfect pop of color

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of blue lacquer…

French blue draperies highlight the floor to ceiling windows in a minimalistic, but classic dining room

The perfect breakfast spot

Okin and I share the same affinity for blues and greens

The first thing that struck me about this room is the lack of artwork behind the bed and I love it. It allows the windows, furniture and grasscloth walls to take center stage and hold their own, which they do beautifully. I wonder why we often fall into the trap of feeling like we need to hang something on every wall in our home?

A beautiful spot to unwind at the end of the day or catch up on correspondences

Chic Modern NYC Bathroom
I think I could stare at this view all day. City views, custom closets, chinoiserie wallpaper and a soaking tub…need I say more?

This is the spot every mom wishes she had to hide in around 7pm and let dad take bedtime duty. Just add a glass of wine and a candle!

A serene retreat for guests
