Traditionally on Christmas morning, we open up presents at our house with the kids and then head over to my mother’s house where the rest of the family gathers for breakfast and another round of presents. This year however, we are changing things up and everyone is coming to us. I’m excited to host my first real family Christmas and it will be so nice for the kids to be able to stay put and have a slower paced Christmas morning. Naturally the first thing I thought about was the tablescape and I knew it would center around blue white. I also wanted to take versatililty into account though and mindfully incorporated pieces that could be used year round and styled accordingly for various seasons and occasions. I hope you like it and it helps you feel inspired!
The salad plates are from our collection of wedding china and this set makes me happy every time I use it. I love the classic line and feminine detail of the polka dots and softly scalloped edge.
The moment I saw these placemats I bought them because I knew they could be used year round and styled accordingly for both casual and more formal occasions.
My bamboo flatware set is very reasonably priced, but while writing this post I stumbled upon an even less expensive version here. I should note though that I haven’t see them in person so I can’t vouch for their quality or how they look in person. That’s the beauty of free returns though, right?
My monogrammed napkins are a personal favorite and I’m about to order another set in green and maybe even pink for Valentine’s day. They are so affordable and well made, it’s hard to talk myself out of stocking up.
These mini boxwoods wreaths were an impulse buy last year but I’m so glad I made the investment. They’ve held up beautifully and I use them multiple times a year!
The Love Santa gift tags can be found here and the green and white gift tags can be found here. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a happy holiday!
