Living in Baltimore, it has always amazed me that nearly all the designers whose work occupies my Instagram feed seem to be located in the South or New York. The Mid -Atlantic, especially Washington D.C., is chalked full of talented designers and that’s why today, I’m particularly delighted to be featuring the work of DC designer Sally Steponkus Roche.

If you aren’t familiar with her work, Sally is an interior designer serving the National Capital Region who has been featured in publications from House Beautiful and Southern Living to Traditional Home and Luxe. Needless to say, her work is gorgeous! Sally’s firm, Sally Steponkus Interiors, is comprised of herself and a team of three and her aesthetic is best described as “updated traditional – classic with a unique twist.” So basically my design style to a tee.

Possessing the perfect amount of Southern charm, Sally’s interiors are as approachable as they are sophisticated. She has an incredible eye for detail and it gives her an ability to pair patterns and maximize space in so many clever ways! Whether it’s adding a preppy pop with colorful accents or mixing various finishes of wood, her interiors are a beautiful example of cheerful, traditional design. So, without further ado, here are a few of my personal favorite highlights of Sally’s work to help kick off your week with an inspiring start.

P.S. If you’d like to follow Sally on Instagram you can find her page here– I can never follow enough interior designers! I actually first discovered her work by stumbling upon her Pinterest account (here) which is also loaded with inspiration. Have a great week!
